Women in AI: Shining Bright, Yet Falling Short
Plus, Create an Original Music Video in Minutes
Hi friends
I’ve previously shared my concerns about the slower rate of AI adoption among women.
Well, I stumbled upon some fascinating insights about how different employee segments are faring in the AI race.
It unexpectedly surfaced something of a paradox
I’ve outlined the main findings in this week’s Skills Shift Report, featured below but in short women in more technologically advanced jobs - such as engineering, marketing, sales, and customer service - are significantly outstripping their male counterparts in AI adoption.
But women in non-tech roles, are falling way behind.
The 'poison pill' hidden in this data is that while women are making strides in some roles, these are the jobs where they are generally underrepresented.
Conversely, they are falling behind in 'non-tech' functions where they are significantly overrepresented.
For men, of course, the inverse is true.
As you may know, I launched this guide to help non-tech professionals; men and women, managers, small business owners, and freelancers, become confident and comfortable working with AI.
I’ve never been more convinced of the importance of this mission.

AI MADE EASY
AI Music Generators, Suno and Udio are currently embroiled in legal battles with the recording industry but against that backdrop, the wonders of instant music composition continue to unfold.
Here’s a fascinating use case. Text > Music > Video. First, I generated an original song on Suno from a simple prompt and uploaded it on Noisee.ai. Noisee then generated AI images to match the lyrics. The result is a visual mishmash, (which in fairness I could have edited) but if you set that aside, it is still a wonderous thing to behold 🙂 A few words of text, and in minutes you have a unique music video.
While I won’t be giving up the day job anytime soon, If you’d like to watch a true master at work, the video below - though six months old - is impressive! The tech continues to evolve, and I’ll be keeping my eyes open for updates.
