Small Steps, Big Impact: Integrating AI Organically
Plus, An Overview of the Top Video Generation Platforms
Hi friends
The best way to integrate AI into your daily life is to start from where you currently are.
What does that even mean? Let's break it down:
We all have tasks that are part of our daily life
We all use some software or productivity tools
Think about everyday jobs like making shopping or packing lists, scheduling activities, budgeting, meal planning, and managing our time. Now, consider how AI can assist with these.
This may be as simple as making better use of voice assistants like Alexa or Siri or leveraging AI chatbots such as Claude or GPT to help generate lists, plan tasks, and recommend menus.
Or, you might explore simple automation by adding 'if this; then that' connections between actions. You'll find some examples of these in the AI@workflow section below.
For work tools, start by uncovering the “AI Inside”; the AI capabilities already baked into your existing productivity apps.
Like a sprinkling of fairy dust 🧚 AI enhancements are often integrated into popular business software - sometimes without users even realizing it's there.
Not sure how to check this?
Let's say you're using Google Workspace. Simply ask your chosen AI assistant to list all the AI enhancements available. I asked Claude, and you can find its answer below.
Start small, experiment, and gradually incorporate AI where it makes the most sense for you.
AI SMORGASBORD
Will AI help us Talk to Aliens? Possibly. But not quite yet. Scientists grapple with the possibilities.
A New Safety Syndicate? The biggest names in AI have teamed up to promote AI security. Google, OpenAI, Microsoft, Amazon, Nvidia, Intel, and other big names in AI are coming together to form the Coalition for Secure AI (CoSAI), according to an announcement on Thursday.
A new generation of Luddites, or voices of reason? Company after company is swallowing the hype, only to be forced into embarrassing walkbacks by anti-AI backlash.
AI MADE EASY
One of the best ways to recognize what a great pal an AI assistant chatbot can be is to start with small, relatable, personal tasks.
Below are 15 tasks that AI will take in its stride.

IFTTT (If This Then That) is a user-friendly integration platform that enables us to create simple “Applets” that link a specific action to a tailored outcome. IFTTT differs from say, Zapier, in that it offers a host of home-focused mini-automations, as well as business ones.

GIVE YOUR AI ASSISTANT ONE TASK A DAY FOR 5 x DAYSBetter yet, choose a couple of AI platforms, give them the same tasks to complete, and compare outcomes. This way, you can evaluate which platform - or combination of tools - best fits your requirements. My current favorite is Claude 3.5 Sonnet, backed up by Google’s Gemini. |
