Ready to Tame the Social Media Beast? How AI Can Save Your Sanity.

Hi friends,

We all know the struggle. Our schedules are maxed out, and while organic social media offers amazing marketing potential, it often gets relegated to the bottom of the to-do list, or worse, forgotten entirely.

Why? Because social media feels like a demanding beast.

It's a workload octopus with too many arms to manage 🐙

It's a content shark constantly hungry for fresh posts 🦈

It's a high-metabolism marketing machine that never sleeps 🏃

Just trying to keep up can be exhausting!

But what if there was a way to simplify the chaos? A way to transform how you manage social media and make it, well, easier?

Tune into this week's AI Made Easy video to learn more about how AI can help you conquer your social media monsters.

AI MADE EASY

A wave of AI-powered social media management tools are revolutionizing the game, promising to streamline workflows and free up your time. Our (fictional) tale of a harried, small business owner, features one such platform. Enjoy a visit to Allison’s Coffee Shop.

I created the video on Canva using stock footage, but the rather sonorous, storytelling VO is from Eleven Labs. I think its expression and tonality are among the most advanced (human) I’ve yet come across.

AI TOOLKIT

The tools below are reviewed by the Zapier team - but remember, every platform is multi-featured, so make sure to check out each one individually. I'll be sharing more about Zapier in next week’s newsletter!)

AI SKILLS-SHIFT

One of the best ways to coalesce fragmented thoughts is to create a mind map, and a powerful way to do that is with an AI-powered mind-mapping tool. Thinking back to the hours of whiteboarding a mind map would usually take, to watch it appear in seconds from a prompt is pretty amazing 🙂

I asked AYOH to create an “upskill” mindmap for an Admin who wishes to move to a data-driven role. It’s a bit of an eye chart, but you get the idea.

AI-FLUENT?

Are you comfortable talking-AI-talk? Boost your understanding and vocabulary with our plain English glossary and easy analogies.

GLOSSARY RECAP

Our glossary has covered some ground over the last few issues, so a round-up that shows the relationships between terms should be handy. I love a good analogy, though I hadn’t anticipated today’s would be a toaster! Still, Gemini proposed it, and I ran with it! 🍞 🤣

MIDJOURNEY RETRO TOASTER

Artificial Intelligence (AI): Think about your toaster. It gets hot, but it doesn't know when your toast is perfect. AI is like a super-smart toaster that learns from experience (burning a few pieces!) and adjusts itself to make perfect toast every time.

Machine Learning (ML): This is how AI learns. Think of ML as showing your AI toaster thousands of pictures of perfect toast. By seeing so many examples, it learns to recognize the perfect browning itself.

Deep Learning: This is a powerful type of ML, like giving your AI toaster a super-powerful microscope. It can see way more detail in the toast than a regular toaster, allowing it to make even more precise adjustments for perfect results.

Algorithm: This is the recipe your AI toaster follows. It tells the toaster exactly how to use the heat, how long to cook, and how to adjust based on the bread it sees.

Dataset: This is the collection of all those toast pictures you showed your AI toaster. It's like a giant cookbook filled with information about perfect toast.

Training: This is like teaching your AI toaster. You feed it the dataset (cookbook) and let it practice making toast based on what it learns.

Inference: Once trained, your AI toaster can look at a new piece of bread and predict how long to cook it for perfect results. This is inference - using what it learned to make decisions on new things.

Natural Language Processing (NLP): This is like teaching your AI toaster to understand you when you say "make toast." NLP helps computers understand and respond to human language.

Computer Vision: This is like giving your AI toaster eyes. It can now "see" the toast itself and adjust the cooking based on how brown it looks, not just following a set time.

Bias: Imagine if your dataset only had pictures of burnt toast. Your AI toaster might think burnt toast is perfect! Bias is when an AI model learns something unfair or inaccurate from the data it's trained on.

Explainability (XAI): This is like understanding why your AI toaster thinks a piece of bread is perfect. XAI helps us see the logic behind AI decisions.

Reinforcement Learning: This is like training a dog with treats. The AI tries different things, gets "rewards" for good choices (perfect toast!), and learns from its mistakes (burnt toast).

CURIOUS CAT

Meet Jackson Barn Cat a.k.a. JBC, office manager, resident AI-whisperer, and all-around curious cat. Each week he’ll nose bop a new challenge 😺

GENERATE A VISUALIZATION OF AI THAT ISN’T CLICHED OR SCARY

Use any platform, and try any prompt, because our challenge for you this week is to find creative, conceptual, and even abstract visualizations that illustrate AI as an entity that isn’t robotic, dystopian, scary, or cliched.

It’s a tough one!

I use MidJourney, but try Bing, Dalle, or any other free AI Image Generator. Good luck!
