AI SMORGASBORD

OpenAI co-founder joins arch-rival Anthropic. Durk Kingma, who helped set up OpenAI in 2015 alongside Elon Musk and current CEO Sam Altman, said he was joining Anthropic to develop “powerful AI systems responsibly”. Only two of the 11 co-founders remain at the ChatGPT creator as it switches to a for-profit business model.

Would you date a Bot? A startup company with a name inspired by the Hollywood film “Her” says it now has over 5,000 users for its app allowing people to meet, date, and even “marry” an artificial intelligence bot. In a country battling high levels of social isolation … the new app offers an alternative way of dating for those reluctant to spend time and energy on another human being. (yikes!)

ChatGPT is being used to disrupt elections around the world, OpenAI warns. Hacking groups affiliated with regimes in China, Iran, and Russia named as suspects in a 54-page-report that identified at least such 20 operations. Manipulative activities ranged from writing articles for websites, to generating fake personas and posting content on social media. It included “multi-stage efforts to analyse and reply to social media posts”.

Your best guide on the path to AI expertise? AI itself. Let’s look at some of the ways you can “Just Ask AI” for support.

First up: AI-powered mind mapping. We'll use Ayoa AI to chart a course for a hypothetical Brand Manager's AI upskilling. Here's what we get with this simple prompt:

'Generate an AI upskill Map for a Brand Manager including foundational and discipline-specific learning'

And voila, a tailored roadmap for AI mastery in brand management. In a ‘real-world’ situation I would edit and refine this, but not today.

THROUGH A-EYES

I let Claude 3.5 run wild with reimagining job titles. Sometimes the most absurd ideas become reality. Let's see what company org charts look like in five years 😆 PS, the downloadable version is easier to read

AI SKILLS SHIFT

On a more serious note, AI is redefining work beyond automation. It's raising performance standards and making human-AI collaboration the norm. A new skill set is emerging, blending prompt engineering, AI integration, and human creativity with machine efficiency. These transformations are inevitable, even if their precise form is still taking shape.

I Just Asked AI to brainstorm some ways our hypothetical brand manager role might be repositioned in an AI-led marketplace …this is the tip of the iceberg, but you get the idea.
